Bike Permit Information
Ensuring the safety of students who commute to and from school on e-bicycles and bicycles is paramount. To address this, we are excited to announce the development of a comprehensive safety course and video that aims to equip riders with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the roads safely and confidently. We aim to create a responsible cycling culture within our school community. We all know that e-bicycle/bicycle safety is an important public safety issue. We are pleased with the partnership that CUSD has established with the CHP and Providence Mission Hospital to foster a safer environment within the school vicinity and the surrounding community.
Starting October 21st , students who ride a Bike or E-bike are required to have a permit to continue to ride to and from school. Students will be able to sign up at school for a mandatory informational session on the process of applying for PERMIT during our PACE time. Students can schedule during PACE through Enriching Students. Multiple days will be offered over the following weeks. It is required that you as a parent complete the requirements with your child.
Requirements:
- 1) Watch/Review the CHP Bike Safety Presentation (Parent and Student requirement)
- 2) Watch theProvidence Mission Hospital Safety Video
- 3) Complete the attestation form and submit it.
- 4) After we as a school site will provide E-bicycle/bicycle permit stickers to the students at the site.
